Tough conditions to play in but better in mud at the club than on Astro at a leisure centre !? All part of the rugby experience !!

We played some great rugby today , Jersey are a decent side from a Championship club. They’ve always been a fit and mobile side and alway a huge ask for us to have come away with a bonus point Win and restricted them to 3 tries !

As soon as they’d scored 4 tries, the bonus point for them , win or lose, we couldn’t win the league and it was a relief to be able to give everyone gametime . That said, changes never jeopardised any potential result for us and we continued to go forward well right to the final whistle, Dru finishing 5yds out. Always tricky to perform under pressure but I feel we certainly did what we could well.

Fitness and awareness cost us 2 tries as a direct result . To beat these type of teams, players HAVE to perform to their FULL potential and for 60 minutes. Scrum technique is a work on going forward as is rucking revision.
