Today : Bognor v Cranleigh 12-10

23 Oct 2016 by Doug Millen

Played the game today in 4 quarters , two distinctly different teams, giving ALL the lads a great amount of game time .

Thank you to the lads that played time for Cranleigh today , except Elvis who scored against US !!!

1st and 3rd quarter scores were those we had decided to count, end result was 12-10 to Bognor, a fantastically deserved win over a team we have never beat. Well done lads ! You took on board everything we’ve been coaching and executed it superbly. You addressed the 3rd quarter issues and shut Cranleigh out from scoring again, just coming short of another try towards the end of the quarter . Well deserved 12-10 win !!!

2nd and 4th quarters saw a predominantly development team play the strong Cranleigh side (11 of our 15 was the development squad) . Played with great heart and spirit and put up a great fight. Things for them to take away from their quarters today that will definitely aid them during their fixtures throughout the season.

Missing a few still through injury and looking forward to their return, making us stronger than ever.

Thank you Woody, Elvis (1 Cranleigh try 🙄), Billy and Alex for playing for Cranleigh in each quarters .

Ewan & Dru … great defence and attack !

Elvis at centre, well done !
Ethan at Scrum Half ! #watchoutollie (my MOTM)
Big D at 8, great Try
Owen, (try) nice to see you back to normal !!

Rhys .. great effort keep it up !
Lewis A, stepped up today and was focused

Everyone else, really sorry ‘caus I know I’ve missed a few good mentions that will come to me soon ….
